    From October 30 to 31, the 7th Technical Seminar on Damage Early Warning and Condition Assessment of Long-span Bridges, jointly sponsored by Jiangsu Communications Holding Co., Ltd. and the State Key Laboratory on Safety and Health of In-service Long-span Bridges of JSTI, was held in Nanjing Design Center of JSTI Group. This seminar focused on the prominent hot spots and key technical problems in the field of bridge health monitoring, attracting over 150 representatives from domestic and foreign universities, scientific research institutions, design units and construction and maintenance departments. In particular, 17 experts in the field of bridge detection and monitoring, including Academician Aftab Mufti from Canadian Academy of Engineering, were invited to give a special report. Director Gan Jiaxiang of the General Office of the Technology Department of the Ministry of Transport and Director Wang Shaokun of the Technology Office of Department of Transport of Jiangsu Province attended the seminar and delivered a speech. In addition, Chairman Fu Guanhua of JSTI Group, Director Yang Yang of Testing and Research Institute, Chief Engineer Zhu Shaowei and Director Zhang Yufeng of the State Key Laboratory on Safety and Health of In-service Long-span Bridges attended the seminar. The convening of the seminar is of great significance to the sustainable development of bridge health monitoring technology and the promotion of engineering application.
