      The delegation led by Irianto Lambrie, governor of the Northern Kalimantan, Indonesia, visited JSTI on 24th August. Ji, Yuehua, Director of Communications Planning and Designing Institute and related personnel participated in the exchange. 
      Ji, Yuehua welcomed the visit of Governor Irianto Lambrie and his delegation, and made a brief introduction to the overall development of JSTI. Cheng, Yu, director of Water Transport Engineering Design Department of Communications Planning and Designing Institute gave an account of work JSTI has done in the aspects of the business development, technological innovation and platform construction, and made special focus on its overseas business distribution and its layout along the “Belt and Road”. Indonesia is an important hub of the “Maritime Silk Road”, so the market expansion in Indonesia becomes very important, and JSTI has developed port consulting and designing business in the Middle and East of Kalimantan. It hopes to reach a common development agreement with Northern Kalimantan through this exchange.

      Governor Irianto introduced in great detail the development, future planning and the customs of Northern Kalimantan. The Governor noted that Northern Kalimantan is a new province in Indonesia and that a lot of infrastructure is needed in its development such as the construction of bridges, hydropower, ports, airports and industrial parks. He hoped that JSTI can contribute ideas to the development of Northern Kalimantan and bring advanced technical experience there. He also expressed the hope to strengthen exchanges with JSTI, to promote the development of talent team of both sides so as to achieve the win-win situation.
