The project, which is part of the Costa Rican State's commitment to improve the country's port and land traffic, consists of the design and construction of a 2,050 m dual carriageway with a width of 3.65 m per lane to access to the container terminal.
The works include a construction of a first section 1,150 m long as well as the extension of the current access road to the container terminal, a 953 m concrete viaduct, and several intersections at different levels.
Eptisa will carry out works supervision, inspection, quality control, technical control of execution and control of the environmental protection of the works, as well as the administrative control of the activities to be performed, among other services.
More specifically, the Consortium must check that terms, technical specifications and other contractual conditions are met, guaranteeing the efficient and timely investment of contractually established resources. It will also collaborate with the contractor in the correct execution of the works with order and efficiency, and promptly resolving its technical requirements. In addition, with its experience and analysis, the Consortium will have to foresee possible technical and financial inconveniences in the development of the contract, verifying and supervising the activities of the contractor company to meet technical specifications, administrative activities, environmental, legal and budget requirements as established in the contract.
