On September, Eptisa started the implementation of the new EU awarded project in Macedonia named Supervision of works for upgrade of the customs clearance and inspection facilities at the road Border Crossing Kjafasan.
The particular purpose of this assignment is overall supervision of the works contract for extension and upgrading the facilities by Eptisa, carrying out contract administration and management duties throughout the duration of the assignment in order to secure smooth and timely implementation, proper supervision and control of the whole project.
Eptisa will also assist the Contracting Authority in administrative duties, including financial planning and preparation of cash flow forecasts on three-monthly basis. The works contract will be carried out in compliance with PRAG rules and procedures.
The works at the road border crossing Kjafasan foresee the construction of:
Customs terminal (8,000 m2 of asphalt area and 27,000 m3 of supply and construction of sub-based embankment), along with access roads
Customs clearance facility, two story building with total net area of 448 m2
Inspection facility with storehouse for seized goods (enclosed net 278 m2 + open 128 m2)
Support facilities (insurance office, bank branch, road help office, café) and public toilets
Checkpoint facility along with weighbridge-cover area under canopy 266 m2
Indoor/outdoor electrical, thermo-technical, water supply, drainage and storm water installations
Waste water treatment plant and oil separator
Paved platform for placing freight forwarding agents offices with toilets
The project, funded by and implemented under the Delegation of the European Union, has a value of € 206,000 and an expected duration of 2 years and 3 months. Thanks to this project, the Eptisas position in the country as reliable and high-quality service provider in the field of supervision of construction works has been strengthened.
In forthcoming years, Eptisa, through its branch office in Skopje, will ensure successful delivery of projects results.
