Eptisa will provide technical assistance to the Cooperation Partnership Agreement partners to allow them to validate or fill in any possible technological, regulatory-related, industrial or commercial gaps towards elaborating "bankable" proposals aimed at the take-up of low carbon technologies.
The overall objective of the project is to support the efforts of Mexico to tackle climate change by facilitating the uptake of low carbon technologies by businesses, through partnerships between the European Union and Mexico in the areas identified during the first phase of the project (2015-2017).
Concretely, the project is aimed to achieve two main purposes:
To support the adoption of low carbon technologies by the Mexican industry through the stimulation and creation of favorable conditions
To promote the internationalization of European small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through the facilitation of industrial cooperation between low carbon solution providers from the EU and industrial partners from Mexico.
The Government of Mexico has made climate change mitigation and adaptation a national priority and has been working in mainstreaming the agendas of climate change and natural disasters. This programme reflects its commitment and its efforts to develop a sustainable and competitive business environment.
