JSTI Delegation Attended ISAP2014 Meeting
14-Sep-2015Nearly 200 people from 35 countries and regions attended this symposium, and totally 250 high-quality technical papers were included. More than 180 subject speeches and exchanges on the latest research achievements concerning asphalt pavement and engineering field, including asphalt material, regeneration, warm mix, micro-mechanism, maintenance and life cycle analysis, were made in nearly 20 branch venues.
As a member of ISAP, JSTI always keeps close relationship with ISAP and organizes technicians to attend ISAP symposium every year. JSTI chief engineer Jia Yu ever chaired ISAP2011/2012. In May, 2012, JSTI organized “ISAP 2012 Symposium on Heavy-duty Asphalt Pavement & Bridge Deck Pavement”. This year, while actively organizing the participation of ISAP2014, JSTI also established “ISAP Special Scholarship” and supported 4 excellent university students to attend this international symposium.
During the symposium, JSTI delegation was also invited to visit California Pavement Maintenance Center CPPC, US GRANITEROCK Construction Ltd. and Texas Transportation Institute TTI, and had in-depth exchanges with the technicians of internationally renowned institutions. (Reported by Zhang Hui)
